Challenge
After the merger of two companies, the largest oil and gas group in Southeastern Europe, with activities in the business segments of upstream and downstream gas as well as downstream oil, consolidated its position in the oil and gas market following a comprehensive modernization and efficiency increase process.

The merged IT organization faced a major challenge in terms of the IT architecture consolidation.
Approach
GET Excellence helped the post-merger integration of IT PMOs of both companies regarding corporately established PM standards and the set-up of the group IT PMO, both with governance & support functions.

Further, a transfer of the IT project portfolios from both companies into one project organization and a standardized group-wide execution of programs & projects were made possible.

A unified transformation and project status reporting to the management board was established.
Result
GET Excellence allowed a smooth post-merger integration of the distributed IT PMOs. Status reporting to the management board was successfully transformed. The consolidation of the IT architecture and the management of the project landscape were achieved.
